Biography
Carlo Christopher Simon Waibel (b.1990) performs under the stage name Cro. The German artist calls his music "raop" -- a blend between rap and pop. Cro began recording music as a young teenager and released his first mixtape, Trash in 2009. His second mixtape Meine Musik got him noticed and he signed his first record deal in October 2011. Cro began his onstage career as the warmup act for the Norwegan band Madcon for their Glow Tour 2011. Cro began wearing a panda mask during the tour to protect his identity. Since 2011 Cro has garnered multiple awards including Best Single for Easy and Traum. In 2014 Cro captured Best Album for his release Melodie.
